Working at a holiday home for those with physical disabilities inspired me to continue a career in care and I joined Sunningdale eight years ago.
It's so rewarding coming into work every day and helping our clients to help themselves. Every single step of progress can be slow but it's fantastic to see how, with encouragement, improvement can be made to their quality of life.
The team here makes Sunningdale very homely and help to build clients' self-confidence and self-belief. Our regular and detailed training programmes help us to understand our residents' conditions and offer as much empathy as possible.
I have completed my NVQ Level 2 and am looking forward to facing the challenge of the next level.
